In a see-saw battle between the two NOC women's programs, NOC Enid held on for a 75-73 win at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse over the Lady Mavs.

The Lady Mavs held a double digit first half lead and took a 38-31 lead into the dressing room.  NOC then took a 55-48 lead into the fourth quarter but the Lady Jets went on an 11-0 run to take a 59-55 lead.

The Lady Mavs then countered to take a 62-59 lead with 6:45 left.

Trailing 70-67 with 1:43 left, Brooke Robertson scored and then Kaydrin Scott's basket gave the Lady Mavs a 71-70 lead.  Then, trailing 75-73, the Lady Mavs had one last possession with Scott's short jumper going in and out.

Scott led the Lady Mavs with 33 while Marta Perez had 14 and Brooke Robertson 10.

"I thought we competed hard, but didn't shoot well enough to win," said coach Greg Krause.  "We had some costly untimely turnovers that I thought were game changers. Right now, our focus is on road games at Redlands and Connors this Thursday and Saturday – two tough conference opponents."

The Lady Mavs are now 7-10 on the season and 3-2 in league while NOC Enid is 8-6 overall and 3-3 in league play.

NOC is at Redlands on Thursday and at Connors on Saturday in conference road games.
