HILLSBORO, Kansas --  The NOC Tonkawa Lady Mavs overcame a sluggish start rallying past Tabor JV 78-49 Monday night.

Mattie Rich and Marta Perez each had 13 points while Keely Hussey and Ashlynn Fincer had 12 points each.

Kaydrin Scott had nine rebounds for NOC while Hussey added five steals.

NOC trailed Tabor 22-8 after one period before rallying to outscore the home team 70-27 the rest of the way.

"We had a slow start again last night," said coach Greg Krause.  "I think going to pressure defense and mixing up defenses helped us play with more aggressiveness. The second half looked much better than the first. Now we're into conference play beginning January 8."

The Lady Mavs (3-8) have completed the fall schedule and return to action Jan. 8.
