The NOC Tonkawa Lady Mavs drained 12 3-point baskets Saturday in an 83-67 win over Cloud (KS) in the home opener.

The Lady Mavs (1-1) were led by Brooke Robertson with 18 points.

Saturday's game was close throughout the first half with Cloud taking a 33-31 lead into the halftime dressing room.

NOC then went on a 10-2 run in the third quarter to take a 46-38 lead.  

Taking a 53-47 lead into the final quarter, the Lady Mavs went on an early 12-2 to build a 66-49 lead and put the game away.

Landri Hussey and Allison Green also reached double figures with 11 points each.

"Good team effort against Cloud," said coach Greg Krause.  "We maintained ourselves during foul trouble. We hit some shots in the fourth quarter when the game was still in balance. And we had good depth offensively – eight players scoring seven or more points."

NOC hosts Cowley (KS) Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. inside Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.
