Lady Mavs Profile:  Celeste Moore

A returning sophomore for the NOC Tonkawa Lady Mavs in 2020-21 is point guard Celeste Moore from DeSoto, Texas.

Moore started as a freshman for the Lady Mavs in 2019-20 but missed time due to a knee injury.

Why Moore chose NOC?  To further my basketball career.

What is your major and what are your career goals?  I am a Nursing major and plan to be an OBGYN nurse.

Is it challenging to balance academic changes and athletics at NOC?  Some weeks it's challenging due to the amount of work that is assigned.

What life experiences have helped you grow in college athletics?  Communicating, being responsible, being a team leader, being an open person.

What is different about high school athletics verses college athletics?  College is more about pushing yourself and being mentally and physically strong.

What advice would you give high school students when choosing a college or university?  Trust yourself, don't make decisions based on what your friends are doing.  Think about your learning environment, consider the consequences of student debt, and if it makes you happy then go for it.

What do you do in your spare time?  Shopping or sleeping
