NOC Tonkawa falls to NOC Enid

The Lady Mavs lost to NOC Enid 81-69 Thursday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.

NOC (3-19) fell to 0-10 in league action while NOC Enid (16-6) improved to 8-3 in league play.

The NOC Lady Mavs made 10 3-pointers in the first half and led NOC Enid 45-40 at half but the Lady Jets rallied in the second half to win 81-69.

The Lady Mavs were led by Carlee Murray with 16 points while Hannah Maples added 15.  Chideyah Guyton and Cassie Manning added 13 points each.

"We shot well in the first half and poorly in the second," said coach Greg Krause.  "We didn't shoot well from the free throw line. We're still working on putting four quarters together."

The Lady Mavs were just eight of 17 from the foul line.

Maples led NOC with seven rebounds.

The Lady Mavs led 45-40 at half and held their final lead on a Chideyah Guyton jumper to give NOC Tonkawa a 49-48 lead but the Lady Jets then built a 53-48 lead after three quarters and pulled away in the final quarter.
