The Lady Mavs lost 91-83 to the Seminole Lady Belles Monday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.

The Lady Mavs (3-17) fell to 0-8 in league play.  Seminole (8-12) improved to 3-5 in league play.

NOC battled to the end Monday night but fell to Seminole 91-83 Monday night.

Chideyah Guyton led the Lady Mavs with 26 points while Lauren Coates added 17, Radina Zhivachka 14, Caitlyn Bailey 11, and Hannah Maples 10.

The Lady Mavs trailed 24-11 after one quarter and 44-29 at halftime but rallied in the second half.

NOC cut the Belles' lead to 70-66 on a Radina Zhivachka jumper with 8:06 remaining but could get no closer the rest of the way.  The Lady Mavs got back in the game using full court pressure.

"I thought applying pressure pushed us to be more aggressive and opened up some scoring opportunities," said coach Greg Krause.  "That may be a direction we need to continue to go. Our point production was one of our better ones for the season. But we need to balance pressure with better defensive recovery."
