Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks Demaree King and Hannah Maples were named Student Athletes of the Week for Nov. 18.

King is a sophomore from Tulsa while Maples is a sophomore from Ringwood.

For the week, King averaged 22 points on 63 percent shooting making 12 of 21 3-point baskets in three Maverick wins.  He also averaged three rebounds, three steals, and four assists per contest.

"Demaree (King) had another good week," said coach Donnie Jackson.  "He single handedly carried us in our game against National Park when he scored 38 points.  The thing I like about Demaree is his focus.  He really just wants the team to win.  He has adapted his game when teams play him certain ways.  I hope he can continue keeping the mindset he currently has."

Maples averaged 15 points and eight rebounds shooting 46 percent from the 3-point line and 54 percent from the field.

"Hannah (Maples) is continuing to play consistently," said coach Greg Krause.  "She is providing great leadership with her competitive spirit and is providing a foundation for us to continue to build upon."
