Lady Mavs drop road contest at Cowley

ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas -- Cowley broke open a close game at half and won going away over NOC 87-60 Wednesday night.

NOC (1-3) was led by Carlee Murray with 16 while Kaylee Cline and Khnly Duncan added 11 points each off the Lady Mavs bench.

NOC trailed Cowley 36-31 at half before Cowley went on a 20-4 run in the third quarter to build a 57-36 lead.

"We had our ups and downs again," said coach Greg Krause.  "We're working toward better consistency of shot selection, fewer turnovers, and better help and rotation on defense. Carlee Murray and Kaylee Cline showed signs of being well again. Cassie Manning had a solid game last night scoring and rebounding. There are good signs but we need better consistency."

Manning had eight rebounds for NOC while Duncan added six.  Celeste Moore added six assists.
