SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -- The Northern Oklahoma College Lady Mavs season ended in the NJCAA Region 2 Quarterfinals Thursday losing to Redlands 82-69 Thursday at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
NOC (10-17) was led by Tahanee Bennell with 23 points.
The Lady Mavs trailed 10-0 in the first quarter and battled all the way back to take a 49-48 lead on a Bailey White 3-pointer with 1:18 left in the third quarter.
Redlands (21-9) then went on a 14-0 run to take a 62-49 lead.
"The slow start in combination with the low shooting percentage was too much to overcome," said coach Greg Krause. "We used a lot of energy to catch up in the second half, but there's usually a price to pay for climbing back like that."
Mia Brown was the only other Lady Mav in double figures with 14.
Bennell had seven rebounds and Brown had four assists.
