The NOC Lady Mavs clinched the five seed in the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament with an 86-81 win over Western last Thursday.

NOC (10-16) rallied from 67-63 in the fourth quarter outscoring Western 23-14 to earn the conference win.

"Playing with more defensive pressure helped our offense open up and play more aggressively," said coach Greg Krause.  "It was a good team effort in a big game for both teams."

Tahanee Bennell led the Lady Mavs with 29 points on 11 of 15 shooting.   The sophomore guard added eight rebounds and five assists.

Chelsea Rhoades added 18 points for the Lady Mavs.  Rhoades was 6 of 10 from the floor and made three 3-pointers.
