The NOC Lady Mavs had a combined 37 points from Tahanee Bennell and Chelsea Rhoades but it wasn't enough as the Lady Mavs lost to NOC Enid 98-70 Friday night.

The Lady Mavs (7-14) fell to 4-7 in conference play.

The Lady Mavs hung with NOC Enid until the middle of the second quarter when NOC Enid went on a 14-0 run expanding a 33-27 lead to 47-29 at half.

To their credit, the Lady Mavs cut the lead to 57-47 but Enid then built the lead back to 68-53 after three quarters.

Bennell had four assists to go with her team high 19 points while Rhoades added nine rebounds to go with her 18 points.

Taylar Watkins added 10 points for the Lady Mavs.

NOC was without post player Hannah Maples who was out with an illness.

"Enid shot well," said coach Greg Krause.  "We never got on track defensively with how we wanted to guard them. We're looking for the bye date to help us get healthy and ready for the final conference run."

The Lady Mavs next host Eastern Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.

NOC Enid improved to 20-3 on the year and 10-0 in conference.

The game was rescheduled from Thursday when classes and activities were canceled due to bad weather.
