Northern Oklahoma athletics chose Tahanee Bennell and Khobe Austin-Johnson as Student Athletes of the Week for Jan. 21.

Bennell is a sophomore from Turners Beach Tasmania, Australia, while Austin-Johnson is a sophomore from Tulsa.

For the week, Bennell averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals per game.  Plus, Bennell was a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line.

"Tahanee has been contributing in every category for us," said head coach Greg Krause.  "She is a great leader for our team, on and off the floor."

Austin-Johnson averaged 17 points per game last week for the Mavs.

"Khobe has been playing well," said coach Donnie Jackson.  "He has really started bringing offensive punch to the team.  He has stepped up in the absence of Tre Lamar.  I'm looking forward to seeing how he finishes the season.  We really need him to play well down the stretch."
