The NOC Lady Mavs were slow out of the gate Thursday night against Redlands and a late rally fell short in a 72-55 loss at home.
NOC (4-11) fell to 1-3 in conference play while Redlands (13-4) improved to 1-4 in league play.
Sophomore Tahanee Bennell led the Lady Mavs with 19 points while Chelsea Rhoades added 10.
"The long stretch in the first half without scoring put us in a tough situation," said coach Greg Krause. "The good comeback in the second half was kind of halted with the head injury to Tahanee (Bennell), who had been a key player during that run. Consistency will be important for us continuing into our conference run."
NOC led Redlands 9-3 midway in the first quarter until Redlands went on a 24-0 run to take a 27-9 lead.
The Lady Mavs then rallied to as close as 51-46 with 7:18 left before Redlands regained control building the lead back to 66-48.
