Lady Mavs drop road game at Cowley

ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas -- Northern Oklahoma College dropped a 72-34 decision to Cowley County Wednesday night.

NOC fell to 2-3 on the year while Cowley improved to 5-1.

The Lady Mavs struggled out of the gate Wednesday night and lost to Cowley College 72-34.

The Lady Mavs were led by Chelsea Rhodes with eight points and Abi Webster with six.

"Cowley played really well," said head coach Greg Krause.  "Our vision on the court has to improve. We have to get more physical defensively and on the boards. It's good to bounce right back into two games this weekend and get back to work."

NOC trailed 14-1 after the first quarter and 31-12 at half.

Taylar Watkins had seven rebounds while Mia Brown had three steals.
