Northern Oklahoma College athletics selected Taylar Watkins and Trevion Lamar and as Student Athlete of the Week for Nov. 12.Watkins is a sophomore from Arlington, Texas while Lamar is a sophomore from Savannah, Georgia.
Watkins averaged 9.3 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 45.7 per cent from the floor.
"Taylar (Watkins) is playing with great energy," said head coach Greg Krause. "She is scoring from the inside and outside, and is consistently one of our leading rebounders."
Lamar averaged 19.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and shot 68 percent from the field in three wins over Oklahoma Wesleyan JV, Cowley College and Allen County.
"Trevion (Lamar) had a big week," said head coach Donnie Jackson. "He showed what he is capable with his versatility as a scorer and overall player. He is also a great kid and is fun to be around."
