WILBURTON, Oklahoma --A one day delay didn't affect Lady Mavs in conference basketball action Friday afternoon as the Lady Mavs whipped Eastern 92-82.
The Lady Mavs are now 10-15 on the year and 6-8 in conference play.
The NOC women picked up their 3rd win in a row and 6th conference win of the year with the win at Eastern.
The Lady Mavs blistered the nets shooting 52 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range.
Sophomore Hannah Nealis led the Lady Mavs with 22 points. She had plenty of support as Sabela Reigosa Pernas added 21, Kaitlyn Hodgins 17 and Chideyah Guyton 16.
"We did a good job of hanging tough in the first half in response to Eastern's good start," said head coach Greg Krause. "In the second half, our defense and rebounding gave us more control on both ends."
NOC trailed 49-47 at half before outscoring Eastern 31-15 in the third quarter taking a 78-64 lead heading to the final period.
