Lady Mavs pick up big road win at Redlands

EL RENO, Oklahoma – NOC's Lady Mavs picked up a big road win at Redlands Community College in El Reno Monday night.

The Lady Mavs improved to 9-15 on the year with a 95-83 win over the Lady Cougars.  The Lady Mavs improved to 5-8 in the OCAC. 

NOC had three scorers exceed the 20 point plateau.  Hannah Nealis led the Lady Mavs with 26 points on 10 of 15 shooting.  Nealis was 6 of 11 from 3-point range.  Sabela Reigosa Pernas added 25 points on 10 of 15 shooting while Tahanee Bennell added 21 points and nine assists.

Redlands jumped to an early lead taking a 27-19 lead after one quarter.  The Lady Mavs then rallied taking the lead in the 3rd quarter in the 95-83 win.

"Redlands came out strong offensively with great ball movement and perimeter shooting," said head coach Greg Krause.  "We were able to stay in range and make some defensive adjustments at half-time. Our full court defense in the second half helped us contain better and we got our first lead late in the third quarter. Our girls did a good job executing offensively while we were down on the scoreboard."

As a team, the Lady Mavs shot 53 percent from the field and 50 percent from the line.
