Lady Mavs drop rivalry game to Lady Jets

The NOC Lady Mavs lost to NOC Enid Thursday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse in Tonkawa 88-59.

NOC Tonkawa fell to 7-15 on the year while the Lady Jets improved to 21-3.

The NOC Lady Mavs had a nice start in Thursday's game against NOC Enid but fell to the Lady Jets 88-59.

The Lady Mavs led 16-13 after the first quarter but the Lady Jets outscored NOC Tonkawa 28-14 in the second quarter to take a 41-30 halftime lead.

NOC Tonkawa was within striking distance after three quarters at 64-49 but the Lady Jets went on a 16-3 run to take an 80-51 lead.

 "They great team balance and depth," Lady Mavs head coach Greg Krause said of the Lady Jets.  "They are a tough cover with their ball penetration and perimeter shooting. We need to defend and rebound better against quality teams like they are."   

Chideyah Guyton came off the Lady Mav bench to lead the team with 14 points while Sabela Reigosa Pernas added 13.
