Softball drops two to Fort Scott at Ponca City

The Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks dropped two softball games to Fort Scott (KS) in Ponca City Thursday afternoon, 5-1 and 9-8 in nine innings.

NOC (2-10) out hit the Greyhounds 19-13 in the doubleheader.

Katelyn Yee and Hallie Durkee homered in Game 2.  Yee had three hits for the Mavs while Madison Kettler, Rachel Rumsey, and Kaylie Murry had two hits each.  Marcela Walker had two runs batted in for the Mavs.

Jenna Chassie suffered both losses in the circle tossing 14.1 innings in two games.

Rumsey had two hits in Game 1 as well and had the lone Mav run batted in.

The game was moved to Ponca City due to wet grounds in Tonkawa.
