The NOC Mavs Softball team opens Region 2 play Thursday against Rose State at 6:30 p.m.  The tournament is held at Seminole State College May 9-12.

NOC (38-18) finished 3rd in the regular season standings while Rose State (21-27) is the 6th seed.

The Mavs were 20-12 in the conference regular season.

Leading the Mavs in hitting is Baylee Scrimshire with a .397 average.  Kyia Monahwee leads the Mavs and Region 2 with 15 home runs and 60 runs batted in.  Aylin Nunez leads the region with 39 stolen bases.

In the circle, Jenna Chassie leads Region 2 with 19 wins while Taylor Lane leads the conference in strikeouts with 253.  Lane was one save on the year.

Other first round matchups include #2 Seminole against the NOC Enid-Connors winner Thursday afternoon, NEO-Eastern, and Carl Albert-Western.
