Mavs split at Carl Albert, remain in 3rd place in Region 2

POTEAU, Oklahoma --  Northern Oklahoma College rallied for a split in a Region 2 doubleheader at Carl Albert in Poteau Tuesday afternoon.

The Mavs won the nightcap 15-6 after falling in Game 1 10-5.

NOC (32-15) remains in 3rd place in Region with a 13-9 conference record.  Carl Albert (23-17) is in 4th place with a 12-14 mark.

The Mavs jumped out to an early 4-0 lead but couldn't hold on losing to Carl Albert 10-5.

Rachel Rumsey homered and Kyia Monahwee tripled for the two Mavs extra base hits.  Rumsey had two of the Mavs five hit total.

Jenna Chassie (16-6) suffered the loss in the circle with relief help from Kylie Garrett.

NOC led 4-1 until the 4th when Carl Albert scored five runs and then then added four runs in the 5th.

Emily Poindexter had a grand slam and a double leading NOC to a 15-6 win over Carl Albert.  Poindexter had three hits and five runs batted in as the Mavs broke open a close 8-6 contest with seven runs in the 7th.

Kyia Monahwee also homered and drove home three runs with Aylin Nunez and Madison Kettler adding three hits each.  Monahwee and Allison Roberts had two hits each.

Morgan Rohwer (1-0) earned the win in relief allowing no earned runs and two hits in four innings.
