Maverick softball players Taylor Lane and Kyia Monahwee were named Student Athletes of the Week for April 15.

Lane, a sophomore pitcher from Stillwater, was 3-0 last week in four starts.  She allowed just four earned runs in 23 innings of work (1.22 ERA for the week).  She struck out 32 hitters.

Monahwee, a sophomore outfielder from Morris,  had a big week hitting .529 (9 for 17) in six games.  She clubbed five home runs and drive in 12 runs as the Mavs were a perfect 6-0 during the week.
