Kyia Monahwee hit home runs in both games in a Mavs doubleheader sweep of Rose State Tuesday at Maverick Field.
NOC (25-11) improved to 7-5 in Region 2 play. Rose State (13-17) dropped to 4-12 in league play.

Kyia Monahwee hit a three run home run leading NOC to a 5-4 win over Rose.
Baylee Scrimshire had three hits for the Mavs scoring two runs. Monahwee also added a single besides her three run blast in the 3rd inning.
Jenna Chassie (13-4) relieved Taylor Lane tossing five innings allowing one earned run.
Mavs 6, Rose 2
Monahwee had three hits including a home run and two runs batted in to lead an 11 hit attack. Rachel Rumsey also had three hits while Emily Poindexter had a double and two runs batted in.
Lane (12-7) went the distance in the circle allowing one earned run on three hits.
The Mavs trailed 2-1 until the 4th inning when the Mavs scored four runs to take a 5-2 lead.
