Mavs split with Carl Albert

Northern Oklahoma College split a pair of conference games against Carl Albert at Maverick Field in Tonkawa on Monday.  The Mavs won the first game 4-3 in 10 innings and then lost the second game 6-5.

NOC (20-10) is now 2-4 in conference play.

Mavs 4, Carl Albert 3 (10 innings)

Taylor Lane pitched 10 innings in the circle and singled home the winning run as the Mavs beat Carl Albert 4-3 in 10 innings.

Lane's bases loaded single scored Aylin Nunez with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th.

Lane (10-6) allowed nine hits and struck out 13 Carl Albert hitters.  

Maverick catcher Kendall Heisler hit two home runs for NOC one in the 2nd inning and one in the 4th.

Carl Albert 6, Mavs 5

Carl Albert rallied for four runs in the 7th inning to beat NOC 6-5 earning a doubleheader split.

Kyia Monahwee and Rachel Rumsey both homered for the Mavs.  Monahwee also added a triple and had two runs batted in.

Liz McKellip added a triple while Katelyn Yee doubled for NOC.

Jenna Chassie (10-4) pitched a complete game allowing just one earned run while allowing nine hits.
