The Lady Mavericks softball team has played three scrimmages up to this point and have a record of 4-2. The first double header against Cowley County College was a great first test of their hard work thus far. The Mavs came out with the split for the day, winning the first game and taking a tough loss in the second.

The team traveled to Northeastern State University for the next scrimmage against a well-known Division II program. The Mavericks came out a little flat and lost the first game, but fought back and won a tough second game. The team capitalized when needed and held their ground in some high pressure situations to help them win.

The last scrimmage against Mid America Christian University went in the favor of NOC coming away with two well played wins. The coaches are very excited for this team and look forward to the rest of the fall and the upcoming spring season. The Lady Mavs have a busy week ahead and look forward to seeing the Maverick fans continue to fill the stands at all the away games.
