Taylor Lane tossed a three hit shutout as NOC upset #20 NEO 3-0 on sophomore day Saturday afternoon.

NOC (24-27) lost the second game 12-3.

Lane was the story in Game 1 allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out four.  She allowed just one NEO base runner to reach third base.

Jakayla Whitney had the big blast, a sixth inning home run giving the Mavs a 3-1 lead and some breathing room.

Baylee Scrimshire had two hits including a and one run scored for the Mavs while Madi Baughman and Savanah Mundell had rbi's for  the Mavs.

Game 2 went NEO's way early as the Lady Norse scored early and often in a 12-3 win.

Morgan Rohwer had two hits including a double while Baughman and Scrimshire had two hits each for the Mavs.

Sophomores Madi Baughman, Jordan Graham, Keylee Kirk, Savanah Mundell, Rylee Turman, Jakayla Whitney and manager Kramer Britton were  honored in their final between games.
