Mav softball splits with NOC Enid

The two NOC softball teams played Tuesday in Tonkawa battling each other and gale like winds.

When the day was done, both Mavericks and Jets earned a conference win   The Mavs won the first game 4-0 while the Jets won the nightcap 6-3.

The Jets are now 11-6 while the Mavs are 12-5. Both teams are 3-1 in conference play.

NOC Tonkawa won the first game 4-0 behind a three hit shut out by Taylor Lane.  Lane fanned 13 Jets hitters allowing just three hits.

Farrah Bonds had two hits including a home run.  Baylee Scrimshire had three hits for the Mavs.

In Game 2, the Jets turned the tables with a 6-3 win scoring five runs in the first two innings to take a 5-0 lead.  NOC Enid had only three hits but pressured NOC Tonkawa into five errors in the 6-3 win.

Brooklyn Sparkman allowed three earned runs in five innings, Lindsi Spring pitched the final two innings without allowing a hit.
