The NOC Mavericks scored 23 runs and pounded out 22 hits in a double header sweep of Independence Wednesday afternoon in Tonkawa.
In Game 1, Taylor Lane improved to 3-0 on the year allowing just two hits over five innings. Lane struck out seven and walked just one.
Savanah Mundell hit a solo home run while Baylee Scrimshire and Rylee Turman had two hits each. Turman, Mundell and Farrah Bonds drove in two runs each.
In Game 2, the Mavericks scored 15 runs on 15 hits.
Farrah Bonds cranked her second home run of the year and also added a single and three rbi's. Turman added three hits and three rbi's while Madi Baughman and Jakayla Whitney had two hits each. Baughman and Mundell added two rbi's each as well.
Morgan Rohwer went the distance in the circle allowing three unearned runs on five hits.
NOC is now 5-1 on the year.
