Maverick men's soccer player, George Robinson, was named the Region 2 Player of the Year.  Robinson, a freshman from Maidstone, England, had 12 goals and one assist on the year.

"If you watched our team play this year or just followed our stats it's easy to tell that George had a great year.  What people don't know is the amount of injuries that he had to play through, and the amount of pain that he played with.  He missed a few games with an injured back, and basically wasn't able to do much in practice for a lot of the last part of the season.  He played through a lot of pain the whole month of October.  I'm really proud of the effort he gave and the amount of commitment that he showed."  Coach Michael DuRoy
