The Mavericks men's soccer team returned to campus in early August to start preseason training. The Oklahoma weather has greeted them with typical upper 90 and 100 degree days. The Mavs will have a scrimmage at Southwestern College on Saturday before kicking off the season at home against Garden City Community College on Saturday, August 24th at 3:00.
"I'm very pleased with the guys so far. They have been training hard in some difficult temperatures. I think we have a chance to be a really good team. It is going to take a while for us to play our best soccer because of our youth, but you always want to be playing your best at the end of the year anyway." Men's soccer coach Michael DuRoy
