Northern went up 2-0 in the second half and seemed destined to take the easy win, but blew the lead, and tied Eastern Oklahoma State 2-2.  Northern goals were by Jesus Aleman and Leonardo Fogarty.  

"We have to be able see out games like that.  I'm very unhappy with myself and the team.  We gave up a goal on a free kick, which we have been doing all season.  We talked about not giving up unnecessary fouls around the box and that's exactly what we did.  Then the goal was really soft.  We can't give up goals like that.  Their goalkeeper kept them in the game, and frankly was the difference in the game.  We need to work hard this week in training.  We have to get better at a few spots." Northern had 23 shots with eleven being on goal.  Eastern managed ten shots with four on goal.

The Mavericks finished second in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference with a record of 6-1-1.  They will play Saturday in the NJCAA Region 2 Semi-Final at 7:30 in Miami, Oklahoma.  The opponent is yet to be determined.
