Northern Oklahoma College Athletics selected Piper Woodard, Maddie Cochran and Leonardo Fogarty as NOC Student Athletes of the Week for Oct. 1.

Woodard is freshman from Missoula, Montana, while Cochran is a freshman from Tulsa (Booker T. Washington).  Fogarty is a freshman from Montego Bay, Jamaica.   

"Piper (Woodard) is a forward for us and brings a lot of energy to our front line," said coach Jade Ovendale.  "She battles hard up top, and is a constant worry for opposition defenders.  Her off the ball movement is excellent.   She will run at defenders and be a real threat."
"As a midfielder, Maddie can control the tempo in games and helps the midfield tick over," Ovendale said.   "She moves the ball well, and can start attacks from a deeper position. She does not shy away from her defensive duties and battles for us. She is an important piece of this team."

"Leonardo (Fogarty) scored five goals in the Mavs two wins this week," said head coach Michael DuRoy.   "He is starting to catch on to the style of play, the physicality, the pace, and work rate that is required.  He has the ability to be a really good player.  We need him to continue to improve, and keep scoring goals."
