The NOC Mavs rallied from 14 points down Wednesday night completing an improbable 89-83 win over Cowley(KS).

NOC trailed the Tigers 69-57 with 5:30 remaining and then went on a late 13-4 run cutting the lead to 73-70.

The Mavs then had the ball with :10.1 remaining, Anthony Ignowski's 3-pointer was just long but Aaron Johnson chased down the rebound and launched a fadeway 3-pointer that hit nothing but net and NOC had tied the game at 73-73.  Johnson was fouled on the play and though he missed the free throw the Mavs has sent the game to overtime.

NOC then kept the momentum in overtime as James Brown and Tyson Brown took the game over.  Tyson Brown hit two 3-pointers while James Brown scored eight points leading the Mavs to the 89-83 win.

"I am very proud of our fight last night," said coach Brandon Gossett.  "They never thought they were out of it and kept chipping away at that double figure deficit.  We had multiple guys step up and made big play after big play.  This team is a lot of fun to coach."

Javontae Campbell led the Mavs with 21 before fouling out in the second half.  Tyson Brown added 20 while Anthony Ignowsk and James Brown, Jr. added 14 points each.  Jordan Gorecki pitched in with 11.

The Mavs led 25-23 and never held the lead again until overtime.

NOC Tonkawa (3-1) faces Hutchinson (KS) and Barton (KS) in the Barton Classic Nov. 10-11 in Great Bend, Kansas.
