ENID, Oklahoma -- Javontae Campbell and Anthony Ignowski combined for 59 points in a 75-65 win over #7 Midland (TX) Monday at the Mabee Center in Enid in the Mike Mitchell Invitational.
Campbell had 38 points for the Mavs while Ignowski added 21.
"Our guys have a great sense of togetherness and want to play hard for each other," said coach Brandon Gossett. "You never know what you're going to get bringing in a bunch of new guys but I'm glad we have the group we have. They are coachable and competitive. We are very proud of their effort the entire weekend."
NOC led 18-16 before going on a 20-8 run to end the half with a 38-24 lead.
Midland battled back in the second half cutting the lead to 59-55 with 4:45 left but NOC went on a 16-10 run to end the game.
NOC hosts Cowley (KS) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse in the home opener.
