The NOC Mavs rallied past Cowley 73-68 Saturday in the Mavs Classic at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.
NOC (4-3) completes the sweep of Cowley continuing the Mavs streak over the Tigers to six games.
DJ Jones led the Mavs with 20 points while Nick Cham added 12, Elijah Pickens 11, and Syris Grisby 10.
Cowley built a 33-19 first half lead over the Mavs but NOC went on a 7-2 run late in the half cutting the lead to 35-29 at the break.
The Tigers hit the Mavs with another run building the lead to 43-29 but once again the Mavs rallied.
From that point on, the Mavs outscored Cowley 44-25 the rest of the way.
NOC took the lead 56-55 with 6:50 left on a lob by Fede Federiko. The Mavs kept the Tigers at bay the final 2:00 hitting 10 of 12 from the line.
"After getting off to a slow start we definitely battled the second half and made some big time plays," said coach Brad Witherspoon. "Elijah (Pickens) and DJ (Jones) were huge down the stretch."
NOC hosts Oklahoma Wesleyan JV at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
