The Crown Agency annouced last week the signing of 2016 Maverick Basketball Alumni Jarrid Rhodes to his first professional contract. Rhodes will join the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA G-League affiliate Canton Charge.

Rhodes averaged 13pts 5reb and 2asst per game as a Sophomre on Donnie Jackson's 26-7 team during the 2015-16 season. After his time at NOC, Rhodes continued on to Division 1 Missouri State. He poured in 10pts and grabbed 4reb per game as a Senior in the Missouri Valley Conference.

"I am extremely proud of Jarrid and this fantastic opportunity he has earned" says Head Coach Donnie Jackson. "He was such a big part of what we have built here at Northern, a high character kid who always put the team first and produced on and off the floor"

Rhodes becomes the 10th player to sign a professional contract after playing under Jackson, and the third to join an NBA affiliate or organization.

"We want our players to know that when you come to NOC you are going to get a quality education, the opportunity to compete for a championship, and exposure to play at the 4yr level and beyond" Jackson says.

The NBA G-League begins play starting on November 3rd.
