SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – Keiodre Perry had 21 points to lead Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa to a 75-54 win over NOC Enid Wednesday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
The Mavs (20-11) led 32-31 early in the second half when NOC Tonkawa went on a 15-0 run to take a 47-31 lead. Deaveon Bankston had six points and Khobe Austin-Johnson five to lead the spurt.
The largest Mavs' lead in the second half was 67-45.
Deon Berrien led the Mavs with 11 rebounds while Austin-Johnson had six assists and three steals.
The Mavs led the Jets 26-24 at half.
The Mavs led 26-18 before the Jets made a late first half run to cut the lead to 26-24.
Perry led the Mavs with nine first half points while the Jets were led by Lance Kendrick with 11.
The Mavs will play the Connors-Western winner Friday at 3 p.m. Friday in the NJCAA Region 2 semi-finals.
NOC Enid ended their season at 12-19.
