Deaveon Bankston and Tahanee Bennell were named NOC Tonkawa Student Athletes of the Week for Feb. 25.

Bankston is a freshman from Little Rock, Arkansas, while Bennell is a sophomore from Turners Beach, Tasmania, Australia.

For the week, Bennell averaged 15.5 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals per game.

"Tahanee (Bennell) has been playing aggressively and doing a good job of distributing the ball while looking to score," said coach Greg Krause.

Bankston averaged five points and four rebounds in two games last week.

"Deaveon (Bankston) is starting to figure it out," said coach Donnie Jackson.  "He has brought a lot of energy to the team.  It's showing with him making more athletic plays and we need him down the stretch to keep making big steps."
