Sophomore guard Omar Boone was named Region 2 Player of the Week for Jan.21-27.

Boone was 19 of 30 from the field and 14 of 19 from 3-point range for the Mavs in two games including a 41 point performance over Murray.

Boone made 11 3-pointers against Murray breaking the NOC school record of nine.

"Omar has been playing at a high level," said coach Donnie Jackson.  "He has bought into bringing consistent energy every day.  He has a hunger and desire to be a great player and a great student."
