Mavs blast Murray, improve to 21-5

TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma—The NOC men picked up a big conference win over Murray State Monday night at Tishomingo.

The Maverick men improved to 21-5 with a 76-52 win over Murray.  The Mavs are 10-2 and tied with Connors for the conference lead.

Keiodre Perry and Demaree King combined for 33 points off the NOC bench to lead the Mavs past Murray.

Perry had 17 and King 16 while Trevion Lamar added 11.

"I thought we had really good energy last night," said head coach Donnie Jackson.  "Our bench was huge.  Keio (Perry) and Demaree (King) set the tone with some early made shots.  It opened up the driving lanes and post up opportunities."

Lamar added 11 rebounds for the Mavs.  NOC shot 48 percent (14 of 29) from 3-point range with King leading the team with five.

The Mavs now have some time off their next action is at Redlands on Monday.

"Anytime you get a road win, you take it," Jackson said.  "Now we have a bye date and need to have a good week of preparation for Redlands (Monday)."
