#24 Mavs rally past Seminole 70-69

SEMINOLE, Oklahoma -- The 24th ranked NOC Mavericks picked up a huge conference win Monday night coming from seven points down in the second half to edge Seminole 70-69.

The win improved the Mavs record to 18-4, Seminole dropped to 16-5.  The win also improved the Mavs conference mark to 7-1.  The Mavs are tied with Connors for the conference lead.

NOC rallied late on two free throws and then held off Seminole on the last possession to win 70-69.

"We got off to a great start but Seminole battled back and took a seven point lead in the second half," said Maverick head coach Donnie Jackson.  "We could have folded in that moment but got some defensive stops when we needed them.  We just kept plugging away and found a way to steal one on the road.  That's what you to do in conference play."

"Khobe (Austin-Johnson) was huge in the game," Jackson added.  "He rolled his ankle but he really wanted to stay in the game and wanted to win.  He made tons of extra effort plays for the team, I'm proud of him."

Lamar led the Mavs with 18 points while Keiodre Perry added 16.  Anselm Uzuegbunem added eight rebounds for the Mavs.
