NOC freshman guard Demaree King, was awarded the Jared Weiberg Endowed Scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year last Monday night.
The Jared Weiberg Endowed scholarship is presented to a member of the Maverick Men's Basketball team whose qualities include a strong work ethic, loyalty, unselfishness, and a passion for basketball. King is the 17th recipient of this award and will receive a $1000.00 scholarship. He is a Freshman Business Administration major from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
King's name will be inscribed on the memorial plaque, which is displayed in the lobby of the Library-Administration building.
