Omar Boone receives Donald R. Hays Scholarship

  NOC Maverick freshman basketball player Omar Boone was named the recipient of the Donald R. Hays Scholarship recipient for the 2018-2019 academic year. 

  The late Ms. Eleanor Hays established this scholarship is 1991 in memory of her husband, Mr. Donald R. Hays who was a former basketball player at Northern (at the time it was called the University Preparatory School) and the University of Oklahoma.

  Boone received this scholarship award for being a male sophomore basketball player who attained the highest grade point average during his freshman year at Northern Oklahoma College. Boone is a Physical Education major who graduated from Casady High School in Oklahoma City.
