The Northern Oklahoma College Cheer Squad is hosting open gym for prospective student athletes.

The location of the open gyms are the Foster-Piper Fieldhouse East Gym at 3 p.m. on the following dates:  Sunday, Nov. 3; Sunday, Nov. 17; Sunday, Dec. 8.

There will also be open gym dates during February and March.

Try-outs will be held April 4-5.

"As a member of the 2020-2021 Northern Oklahoma College Coed Cheerleading Squad, you will support the Mavericks and also earn college credit," said cheer coach Karri Morrill.  "Other benefits our cheerleaders receive are scholarships towards tuition and/or room.  Scholarship amounts are awarded on an individual basis according to skill level that is observed at open gym and tryouts."

All cheerleaders must meet Northern Oklahoma College admission requirements, pass a minimum of 12 hours and maintain a 2.00 grade point average each semester.
