The Northern Oklahoma College Cheer Squad began a fund raiser offering tumbling classes on Tuesdays at the NOC Wellness Center with two classes beginning at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
"We had 50 Tonkawa students at our 3:30 p.m. class and 14 Blackwell students at our 4:30 p.m. class," said cheer coach Karri Morrill.
Tuition is $40 each month and this class will be offered throughout both the fall and spring semester.  Morrill said she has room for more students in the 4:30 p.m. class.
  The classes are split into three age groups Pre-K – 1st Grade, 2nd – 3rd Grade, and 4th – 5th Graders.
"My favorite part about this fundraiser is the connections and mentor program that naturally develops through this class," Morrill said.  "I loved seeing Maverick cheerleaders high five and fist bump the tumbling students when they were celebrating a job well done."
"I'm so excited about this opportunity that our administrators have approved for us to offer to our community," Morrill added.
