MENA, Arkansas -- Blade Carver homered and Liam McKinney worked strong innings in a 3-1 Mavs win over UA Rich Mountain (AR) in Game 1 of a conference doubleheader Monday.
The #18 Mavs (42-6) improved to 14-5 in Region 2 while UA Rich Mountain (20-24) fell to 5-10.
NOC scored three runs in the first as Carver homered and then Eric Harper doubled in Aidan Zakarewicz and Christian Stratis giving the Mavs an early 3-0 lead.
Carson Taylor, Harper, and Zakarewicz added two hits each for the Mavs.
That's all McKinney needed as he worked six innings allowing one run on four hits. Evan Rolison earned the save with a perfect seventh inning.
NOC out hit the Bucks 10-4.
