NOC dropped a pair to Pratt (KS) Sunday afternoon 7-3 and 9-5.

In Game 1, the Mavs lost 7-3 despite outhitting Pratt 9-8.

NOC trailed the Beavers 7-0 until scoring three runs over the final two innings.  Landen Johnson homered while Carson Taylor and Ethan Rossi drove in runs for the Mavs.

Ethan Starks and Taylor had two hits each.

Brendon Carter, Liam McKinney, and Jakeb Koop worked on the mound for the Mavs.

In Game 2, the Mavs trailed 6-1 in the 5th inning before NOC rallied for four runs cutting the Pratt lead to 6-5.  Pratt then added three late runs to win 9-5.

NOC had five hits on the day with Luke Shannahan adding a triple and three runs batted in.  Rossi, Johnson, Ricky Requejo, and Larry Edwards, Jr., added hits for the Mavs.

Carson Loyd started with Cale Schroeder, Sean Hammett, Kaden Gehring, and Nakni Anna working in relief.

Regarding the weekend series againts Pratt, Mavs coach Michael Keeran said, "I would like to see us play better baseball."

NOC hosts Rose State at 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Maverick Field.
