The NOC Mavs opened Region 2 play Thursday sweeping Redlands 17-5 and 10-9 in Tonkawa.

The 4th ranked Mavs (23-4) were led in Game 1 by Bryan Burgos who had four hits to lead an 18 hit attack.

Geo Blackshaw added three hits while Ben MacNaughton, Jaken Snider, Bryant Bailey, and Sam Shank had two hits each.

Bailey led the club with three runs batted in.

Blake Hubbard was the winning pitcher allowing four earned runs in five innings.

The Mavs scored in every inning plating nine runs in the 3rd innings.

In Game 2, Sean Klein's sacrifice fly scored Colton Beaudet with the game winner in the 9th inning leading NOC to a 10-9 win over Redlands.

The Mavs were down 9-7 in the 9th after the Cougars scored four runs in the top of the inning.

MacNaughton had three hits and four run batted in while Burgos, Bailey, and Klein had two hits each.

Kirby Lohrengel was the winner for the Mavs from the NOC bullpen.
