Mavs win three in series against DMACC

The 12th ranked NOC Tonkawa Mavs won three of four against Des Moines Area Community College this past weekend at Maverick Field.

NOC Tonkawa swept the two Saturday games 7-3 and 9-0.  They split the Sunday games winning 7-2 and losing 5-3.

"Going into the season I felt like our pitching would be the strength of our team and if we could play sound defense behind them then we'd be in a lot of games," said coach Ryan Bay.  "So far our defense has played well and our current record reflects that.  It's a long season so got to keep looking for ways to improve."
