Harper's late home run earns Mavs a split with Murray

TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma --  Cacy Harper hit two home runs leading Northern Oklahoma College to an 8-6 win over Murray State in the Region 2 Conference opener in Tishomingo.  

The #10 Mavs (30-7) lost the night cap 7-6.

Mavs 8, Murray State 6

Harper had five runs batted in for the Mavs, his 7th inning blast scored Dominick Trevino and Ben MacNaughton erasing a 6-4 Murray State lead.  Harper also homered in the 1st inning and drove in another run on a sacrifice fly.

Ethan Wilson (6-1) earned the win from the Mavs' bullpen, Kirby Lohrengel earned the save. 

Tyler Kisner was the starter allowing two earned runs on five hits over five innings of work.

Murray 7, Mavs 6

Murray State salvaged a split Thursday with a 7-6 win over NOC in the second half of the double header.

Harper cranked his third home run of the day and Joey Pena had two hits including a double.  Cale Francis added two hits for the Mavs.

Jaken Snider started for the Mavs with bullpen help from Wilson and Bryson Armstrong.
